The Magistrati are the high clerics of Azuth. They´ve not only received extensive clerical training, but also reached a high degree of magical knowledge.


Requirements

Patron Deity: Azuth
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Base Attack Bonus: +4
Spellcasting: Ability to cast 2rd level divine spells. Clerics who wish to become Magistrati must have access to the Spell or Magic domain.
Knowledge (arcana): 5 ranks
Spellcraft: 5 ranks
Knowledge (religion): 4 ranks
Concentration: 4 ranks
Feats: Quicken Spell, Spell Focus (any), Combat Casting
Class Skills: Concentration, Speak language, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Religion), Knowledge (The Planes), Craft, Alchemy, Spellcraft, Profession Diplomacy
Hit Dice: W8
Skills: 2 + Int-Modifikator


Klassenmerkmale

All the following are class features of the Magistrati prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Magistrati gain no proficiency in armor or weapons.

Spellcasting: A Magistrati continues training in magic. Thus, when a new Magistrati level is gained a level in a divine spellcasting class he belonged to before belonging to the prestige class. He does not , however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have. This essentially means that she adds the level of the Magistrait to the level of some other spellcasting class the character has, then determines spells per day and caster level accordingly.

Arcane Schooling: At 1st level and every other level thereafter the Magistrati gains the ability to cast a small selection of Arcane spells as Divine spells. The spells the Magistrati can cast are based on the Spell Focus they have chosen. If a Magistrati has more than one Spell Focus they must choose which one they are going to use upon
becoming a Magistrati and they cannot change their selection after that. From that point on the Magistrati treats the appropriate Arcane spells as Divine spells and they can be affected normally by any of the Feats the Magistrati may have.

Quicken Spell: A Magistrati may cast a spell as if it were under the effects of a Quicken Spell feat. He does not need to prepare this spell in advance, and it does not increase the casting time or use a higher level spell slot. This ability can be used a number of times per day equal to 1 + the Magistrati's Charisma bonus (minimum of once per day).

Bonus Feat: At 4th level and 8th level a Magistrati may choose any one Feat from the following list: Greater Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, Greater Spell Penetration, Improved Counterspell, Energy Substitution and Extend Spell.

Azuth's Revealing: At 2nd level and 6th level a Magistrati gains the ability to Identify an item, as per the spell by means of touch. Use of this ability cannot awaken any curse or item abilities. This ability can only be used on 1 item and will Identify up to 5 abilities. Use of this ability is a standard action.
